The first
orientation workshop on IUCD 380A was
organized by JSK, on the 5th July
2008 at JSK premises. The workshop was
attended by around 30 senior O&G practitioners
(from areas like Delhi, Gurgaon, and Faridabad),
each associated with FOGSI, in various
executive capacities, in their respective
areas.
The consensus at the end of the
workshop was that, the IUCD 380A has an edge
over peer devices, currently available in the
Indian market and can be used by the
private O&G practitioners, in the pilot target
areas to the advantage of clients.
5 nodal centres
have undertaken the responsibility of training
a minimum no. of 50 O&G practitioners from thier respective areas who in turn would use
the product. The supply division of family
Planning, MOHFW, Govt. of India is already
providing IUCD 380A to the nodal maternity
facilities.
