Couples awarded in various districts of Rajasthan     

JSK has introduced a strategy to provide an opportunity for couples who have fulfilled responsible parenthood criteria to become entitled to receive a reward for breaking stereo-types (Click here to view the criteria for responsible parenthood). As a pilot exercise, JSK with the help of Panchayats identified 5 couples of village Danwara, Tehsil Osian, District Jodhpur, Rajasthan who fulfilled the criteria.

 A function was organized to award the selected couples. The function was attended by nearly 1000 local people. The District Magistrate of Jodhpur along with the Pradhan of Zilla Parishad among others were present when “Kisan Vikas Patras” were handed over to the eligible couples. A comprehensive leaflet with salient features of “Prerna” strategy of JSK was distributed to all participants present on the occasion to disseminate the core information amongst the village people (Click here to view the Leaflet). 

 The function was widely covered by the local news papers. Under the supervision of JSK’s representatives Dr. Samantaray and Dr. Ranawat, the event was the first of its kind. The couples will now become Role Models for responsible Parenthood. Click here to view the sample of Prerna award sheet.
